Susan currently directs Newport Adolescent ~ Adult Programs, Inc. dba The Chrysalis Center for Human Development, a private non-profit organization founded by her husband, Carl G. Taylor with the mission of fostering change and growth through a variety of social services. The programs are funded by the Carl Gary Taylor Foundation for Children and through fees for services. Services are offered regardless of ability to pay, and fees are negotiated on that basis.

New Friends Program
Adult volunteers are matched with children to provide them with guidance through fun activities and outings. These mentorships foster the development of positive relationships.

Clinical Services
Individual therapy, parental support and family consultation, premartial counseling, and assessment and treatment of addictive disorders are offered in our office.

Scholarships
Students who are attempting to overcome obstacles in life to reach their goals are awarded scholarships on an as needed basis. Tuition is offered for a variety of endeavors including academics, athletics, outdoor activities and the arts.

Planned Visits
We arrange for visits to our sites to share information, resources and demonstrations of our programs.

Therapeutic Farm Program
A program for Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Equine Experiential Learning is currently offered on a limited basis. Gardening and other outdoor activities are available as well.

Community Services
Consultation to schools and youth programs is available. We offer workshops on a variety of mental health issues to schools, businesses and mental health professionals.
