Susan is currently director of Newport Adolescent ~ Adult Programs, Inc., dba The Chrysalis Center for Human Development, a private non-profit social service. She has enhanced and developed a variety of programs including counseling services, educational presentations, mentoring for children and adolescents, a therapeutic farm program and a scholarship program for academics which provides funds for academics, outdoor activities, athletics and the arts. The development of these programs has increasingly placed an emphasis on the important connection between people and nature.

Animal Assisted Therapies and Activities which she conducts, include individual, family and group psychotherapy as well as team-building groups, professional support/growth groups and internship opportunities for persons interested in working with animals and people. Farm tours for school groups always include activities with the animals and literature to take home.

Susan also has an interest in being a resource for connections and information on where to go to get started in this emerging field. Please contact Susan for further information.
